1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using PlayDate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PlayDate. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility

PlayDate is intended for parents and guardians who are 18 years or older. By using this App, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• You are a parent or legal guardian
• You have the authority to agree to these Terms
• You will supervise all interactions involving children

3. User Conduct

You agree to use PlayDate responsibly and in accordance with these guidelines:

• Provide accurate and truthful information in your profile
• Use the App only for its intended purpose of connecting families
• Respect other users and their families
• Maintain appropriate behavior in all communications
• Report any concerning behavior to our safety team
• Keep your account credentials secure

4. Prohibited Content & Zero Tolerance Policy

PlayDate has ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
• Hate speech, discrimination, or offensive language
• Sexually explicit, suggestive, or inappropriate content
• Content that endangers, exploits, or harms children
• Threatening, violent, or dangerous behavior
• Fake profiles or impersonation
• Spam, scams, or fraudulent activity
• Illegal activities or promotion thereof

Violation of this policy will result in immediate account suspension and may result in permanent ban. We cooperate with law enforcement when required.

5. Content Moderation & Reporting

To maintain a safe community:

• All reported content is reviewed within 24 hours
• Users can report inappropriate content or behavior at any time
• Users can block other users who make them uncomfortable
• We reserve the right to remove content without notice
• Repeat offenders will be permanently banned
• Reports are confidential and protected

6. Child Safety

The safety of children is our highest priority:

• All interactions must be appropriate for family environments
• Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising all playdates
• Never share inappropriate content involving minors
• Report any safety concerns immediately
• Do not share children's personal information publicly
• Child profiles are protected and visibility is controlled by parents

7. Subscription & Payment Terms

For premium subscriptions:

• Subscription prices are displayed before purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime through your Apple ID settings
• Refunds are handled through Apple according to their policies
• Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions
• We may change pricing with advance notice

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in prohibited conduct
• Receive multiple valid reports from other users
• Pose a risk to the safety of families
• Are inactive for extended periods

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

PlayDate facilitates connections between families but:

• Is not responsible for the conduct of individual users
• Does not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information
• Recommends meeting in public places for initial playdates
• Encourages users to exercise caution when meeting new families
• Is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind

Always use your best judgment when arranging in-person meetings.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of PlayDate are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you create, but grant us a license to display it within the App as necessary for its operation.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
